Versarien recently announced it will be collaborating with fire retardant coatings supplier Advanced Insulation to work on a graphene project.
The collaboration will focus on incorporating Versarien’s Nanene few layer graphene nano-platelets into sub-sea insulation materials to improve tear resistance and reducing water absorption of these materials.
“We are very pleased to have entered into this graphene application collaboration agreement with Advanced Insulation, further broadening the sectors addressed by our partnerships,” said Versarien Chief Executive Neill Ricketts.
“We believe graphene has the potential to provide significant enhancements to these materials, allowing Advanced Insulation to provide even better products for use in hazardous and extreme environments,” added Ricketts.
About the National Graphene Association (NGA)
The National Graphene Association is the main organization and body in the U.S. advocating and promoting the commercialization of graphene. NGA is focused on addressing critical issues such as policy and standards development that will result in effective integration of graphene and graphene based materials globally. NGA brings together current and future graphene stakeholders — entrepreneurs, companies, researchers, developers and suppliers, investors, venture capitalists and government agencies — to drive innovation, and to promote and facilitate the commercialization of graphene products and technologies.
