James Baker will be speaking at the Global Graphene Expo in October.
James Baker is the CEO for Graphene@Manchester, the leader of graphene and 2D materials business development at The University of Manchester.
The National Graphene Institute and the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre are a significant part of Graphene@Manchester. NGI is the home of collaboration for academics and industrial partners to excel at new and exciting projects. GEIC is the leading international research and technology facility and partners with companies and associations around the world to accelerate the commercialization of graphene. Both NGI and GEIC provide an expertise and focus on graphene that promotes the extended research and potential applications of graphene.
Previous to becoming CEO, James spent 25 years at the Technology Collaboration Programmes and Managing Director of the Advanced Technology Centres for BAE Systems in the UK. He joined the University in 2014 and became the Graphene Business Director.
During NGA’s recent visit to the NGI in Manchester , Zina Jarrahi Cinker, the executive director of the NGA, and James Baker discussed forming a close collaborative relationship between the two organizations.
